Where To Fish – August 2022

Bartlett Lake is located about 1 hour outside of Phoenix and is an amazing summertime fishery. The lake is home to Largemouth bass, Crappie, and Bluegill all pretty willing to eat a popper or a stripped streamer. This time of year you can find very large schools of Largemouth eating shad close to shore. It is not unheard of to catch 30 or 40 in a day throwing white poppers and gurgler patterns. Get out there at first light and look for fish breaking the surface.
