Celebrating the Heart of Our Community: Remembering Charlotte Walton
At AZ Fly Shop, we often say that what truly makes our community special isn’t just the fish we catch or the destinations we travel to—it’s the people who share those moments with us. Few embodied that spirit more than Charlotte Walton, who passed away on September 27, 2025.
Charlotte and her husband, Dick, were not only loyal supporters of AZ Fly Shop but also dear friends to many within our community. Together, they joined us on several travel adventures, exploring waters near and far, always bringing warmth, humor, and kindness wherever they went.
On every trip, Charlotte had a way of making people feel welcome—whether she was sharing a laugh on the boat, celebrating someone’s first fish, or simply taking in the beauty of a sunrise over the water. She built friendships that extended well beyond the trips themselves, connecting people who might never have met otherwise.
Charlotte’s life reminds us why our community matters so deeply. The relationships formed through shared adventures become threads that bind us together—through joy, through loss, and through every cast in between. Her legacy lives on in the friendships she helped create, the laughter that echoes through our gatherings, and the love that continues to ripple through the AZ Fly Shop family.
We will miss Charlotte dearly, and we honor her by continuing to foster the same sense of belonging, kindness, and connection that she so effortlessly shared with all of us.
Fondly,
Jill & Chris Rich
