Patagonia River Salt Wading Boots II
From Freestones to Flats—One Boot Does It All
Patagonia’s new River Salt Wading Boots II bridge the gap between a supportive freshwater wading boot and a lightweight saltwater flats boot. Built for anglers who travel—or simply want one dependable pair of boots for nearly every fishery—they are equally comfortable hiking into a trout stream, wet-wading a local river or stalking fish across tropical flats.
The abrasion-resistant Cordura® mesh upper keeps the boot lightweight, durable and quick-drying, while reinforced rubber toe and heel caps provide protection around rocks, coral and other unforgiving terrain. A high collar and adjustable ankle strap add stability and help keep sand, gravel and debris out.
One of our favorite features is the low-profile quick-lacing system. The fast-action toggle makes the boots easy to slip on when it is time to jump off the boat and chase a fish, while the lace pocket keeps everything tucked away to reduce snags.
Underfoot, a nonmarking Vibram® Megagrip sole provides reliable traction across wet rocks, riverbanks and boat decks. The soles can also accept studs when additional grip is needed. Corrosion-resistant hardware makes the entire system ready for repeated saltwater use.
At approximately 39 ounces per pair, the River Salt II offers impressive protection and support without the bulky feel of a traditional wading boot. It is a versatile, comfortable option for anglers looking to pack lighter and fish farther.
